LG To Launch Triple-SIM Mobile
The A290 is expected to land in Russia as early as next month.
Looks like LG wants to make a splash in the entry-level mobile segment with its new A290. To make its offering unique, the Korean company has added not two, but three SIM card slots to the device.
There hasn't been too much info regarding handset, which is yet to be released. However, a Russian website has confirmed that it will sport a 2.2" screen with pixel dimensions of 176x220. The phone measures 4.5" (l) x 2" (w) x 0.5" (d) .Other than that, the device will have a 1.3 MP primary camera, flashlight, microSD card slot supporting up to 32 GB, and 1500 mAh battery. The three SIM slots are likely to be GSM only, but the details about that are sketchy.
The A290 is expected to hit the land of Soyuz and Sharapova by the end of February at the price tag of 2500 rubles (approx Rs 4200). Sadly, there's no word on its availability elsewhere as of now. However, looking at a high demand for such devices in India, it might cross the seas too.
