Google Search Update Brings Android Camera Integration
The feature may not be very useful considering the number of customisations Android already has.

Missed that video moment because you were busy fiddling with your phone to open the camera? Well, Google’s latest Search update will allow you to tell your phone to open your camera or camcorder app. The process is fairly straightforward. Whenever you need to click a photo, simply say “Ok Google” followed by “Take a picture” for the camera app; or “Record a video” to start recording a video.
Considering the number of customisation options that Android already allows for, you could simple unlock your phone into the camera app. But then again, it still involves one more step as one would have to switch to video mode after that.
These new features definitely make more sense on Google’s upcoming smartwatches such as the Moto 360 where you have smaller screens. For now, at least on smartphones, it’s more of a gimmick, even though Google has put a lot of effort into it.
