HoverChat is a replacement for your stock SMS app where you can message without interrupting what you're doing. The app enables you to activate multiple floating chat heads across the interface. You can read and reply incoming messages without having to switch or close your current task. You can drag and drop windows anywhere with ease. Moreover, you can quickly minimise or maximise messaging window.

HoverChat offers an option to encrypt SMSs, so that other apps can't read your messages. From settings panel you can select your favourite contacts and enable pop-ups for them.

This app is developed by an Egyptian company Ninja Apps. Earlier, this chat client was known as Ninja SMS. It's compatible with all Android 2.2+ Android devices. HoverChat uses your phone carrier's normal SMS plan to send messages. The basic version of the app is free. However, those who want themes and customisation will habve to shell out Rs 250. Before installing this app, it's recommended that you either disable or uninstall other third-party messaging apps such as Go SMS Pro, Handcent SMS and MySMS. According to the creaters, these apps fight with HoverChat for priority to receive messages from the system.
