Samsung Unveils GALAXY S III Mini Value Edition In Europe
Offers a faster processor with a newer version of Android’s Jelly Bean.
Samsung seems to be on a mission to make a handset for every human being out there; and now there is more proof of that. The Korean electronics giant has already pushed out a newer version of the GALAXY S III Mini tagged as the GALAXY S III Mini Value Edition. As specified earlier, there is nothing new in the handset that would attract buyers here; even the ones who purchased the older version. The GALAXY S III Mini Value Edition comes with a faster 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 processor and the newer 4.2 (not the even latest) version of Jelly Bean.
Now, a handset with such specifications would make more sense if it was launched last year. With the Moto G flaunting a quad-core Snapdragon chipset, it really makes no sense even for older GALAXY S III Mini users to upgrade to this handset.
GALAXY S III Mini Value Edition may see a global release soon. It has already hit the shelves in the Netherlands. But we really don’t think it’s worth wasting EUR 181 (Rs 16,000) on a handset that brings nothing new to the tablet.
