Gmail 3.0 Update Enables Auto Email Sync On iOS

No more opening your Gmail app and waiting for that refresh.

Gmail newest update, version 3.0 now adds a couple of new features including the long-awaited background refresh feature. Also included is the ability to easily sign into multiple Google apps all at once, reducing the need to sign in independently for each one.

The update which is available for iPhone and iPad screens, fetches your email beforehand thanks to iOS 7’s background app refresh feature. One will have to turn on any one form of notification (badge, alert or banner) for the process to run in the background.

Most iOS users would definitely stick to their native Email app which works brilliantly without any quirks. The native email app even allows for better flexibility allowing one to sign into multiple accounts from different email providers.

The Gmail app tries to keep up, but obviously will allow access to only Gmail’s servers. Google has been trying to make things simpler for the services it offers and this has finally culminated into a simpler login system thanks to the new update. The update makes the login process for all Google apps a lot simpler. All one has to do is sign into one account and the rest of the apps will also switch to that Google account accordingly.
