Google Now Gets Jet Airways On Board
Will provide flight details such as status changes with its Google Cards.
Google Now was introduced by Google with Jelly Bean. The service, as Google describes it has one objective only — provide right information at the right time. Well, it wasn't a big deal for Indian users since it did not provide much information apart from the weather. Now finally, the service has started to become more relevant for us after Jet joining hands with the search giant.
Google Now was a different much different product than Siri. Apple's voice-assistant replies user queries. On the other hand, is all about prediction. The system tries to predict the information that you will need by sifting through the services that are associated with your email ID. So if you have looked up a restaurant on your PC that you plan to go to for lunch, Google now will automatically show you listings in notifications on your phone along with directions.
With Jet Airlines integrating its bookings with Google Now, we will finally have airline bookings and reminders popping up in the form of its convenient cards interface. The booking would have to be linked to your Gmail ID and that is how Google will have access to all the information related to that booking.
The data will then start showing up on your smartphone or tablet. It will include everything from reminders to delayed flights — only the latest information being will be pulled by the Google Now cards.
