Whatsapp Prepping A "Big" Update For Windows Phone Platform
The update is expected to bring the Windows Phone version on par with iOS and Android.
A private beta user has tipped WPCentral.com about the upcoming features of WhatsApp for Windows Phone. With numerous improvements, the update is expected to bring Windows Phone version on par with its iOS and Android counterparts.
What's new is the ‘Last Seen’ settings that Android recently received. The feature allows you to set your Last Seen status to Everyone, My contacts and nobody (off). The same goes for Profile Photo and Status where each can be controlled individually.
Also included is the re-designed Background Settings Menu, now showing previews and thumbnails of some really well-designed wallpapers. These new features come with the existing set of features covered earlier which include media auto download and custom notification ringtones.
Let’s hope this big update hits the Windows Phone Store soon as the current WhatsApp experience is getting a bit dull with the black backgrounds.
