Windows Phone 8.1 Internet Explorer 11 Caught On Camera

Shines with a new Reading Mode and can now save passwords as well.

 

We just got a glimpse of Window Phone’s latest addition, Internet Explorer 11. From what we have seen from the earlier SDK leaks, tabs could now be opened switched and closed directly via the system wide app switcher.

As we all know, the released SDK keeps getting updated with new features as we near the release date of the Windows Phone 8.1 platform, which is due in April.

From the video, courtesy of Unleashthephones.com, there are a couple of new things that have been updated and the biggest of them is the new Reader Mode which allows one to simply filter through the ads and useless text on a web page to display only the relevant reading material. This feature is present in most web browsers and allows the user to focus on what matters the most — the content.

The Reading Mode also allows for a couple of adjustments like the background colour and text size making it customisable to your reading preferences. Also new is the ability to save passwords (android users must be grinning away to glory) and simple controls to navigate the stopping and reloading of webpages with ease.
