Details Of The HTC A5 Emerge Prior Official Launch

The handset is expected to break cover at the MWC 2014.

 

It was just a week ago that we got a heads up from a Taiwanese tech website that HTC is planning to introduce a new member to its mid-segment range in the form of the HTC Desire 8. It was plastic bodied device sporting a new fresh, new design language and seemed like it was designed and targeted at today’s youth.

Today, rumours are out that since HTC has already postponed their big launch of the long-awaited successor to the HTC One, the phone-maker may instead reveal the desire 8 instead. According to @evleaks, the phone's International variant will be called HTC A5. The serial-leaker also points out that the handset will sport a 5.5 inch (1280 x 720 pixel) SLCD 2 display, along with a 1.6 GHz quad-core Snapdragon setup, and HTC Sense 6.0 over KitKat 4.4.

For more details, we will have to wait till MWC 2014, where HTC is also rumoured to foray into wearable tech.
