Rumour: Samsung Working On A Budget Kitkat Smartphone
Samsung planning to compete with the Moto G with its upcoming SM-G310.
Yesterday we reported about Google’s upcoming device manufacturer policies and it seems manufacturers have already started adhering to the new requirements. A tipster on Twitter put up a few details of Samsung's upcoming budget smartphone that will launch with KitKat out of the box.
More details speak of a 3.97-inch 480x800 WVGA screen and 1.2 GHz dual-core Broadcom ARM Cortex A9 processor. Since it is a budget phone, it will sport the usual dual-SIM setup and hopefully a 2000 mAh battery.
According to Sammobile.com, the Korean giant will announce the device soon after its Unpacked 5 event at the MWC 2014. We’re guessing that Google is a bit ticked off about the fact that they had actually optimised KitKat to run on 512 MB RAM sporting devices, which lazy manufacturers have clearly ignored since launch.
