Microsoft Introduces Bing Health & Fitness App To Windows Phone

Helps users keep track of eating habits and exercise routines!

Microsoft has begun building its portfolio of apps for the upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 release. First one to release today is the Bing Health & Fitness Beta App.

It is not your typical boring and drab health app that brags about health tips. This one lets you track your calories and weight. Just add what you eat for every meal and the app automatically calculates and lets you know what needs to be done about it.

Additionally you also get health tips and diet information from credible sources and even curated content from Bing. The videos section hosts a variety of video ranging from complete workouts to Yoga Poses and even Pilates. The nutrition has the usual weight-loss diet tips and videos on obesity and sleep problems while the GPS based tracker will track and record your time, distance, pace and calories burned while you walk, run, bike and do other activities.

An interesting section is the Interactive Symptom Checker for those of you are obsessive about health symptoms. It basically allows you to track down common symptoms and gives out information about what disease or illness you may have. One unique feature to note here is that this app will integrate with Windows Phone 8.1 and share app settings and information to your Windows desktop and tablet as well.

All-in-all it seems like a pretty detailed and well-designed app by Microsoft. Of course the app is a beta and will not be available in the Windows Phone Store just yet. But you can download it to your Windows Phone device by pointing your device’s to the QR code given below.
