Sony's Xperia G To Take On The Moto G
Brings premium design from the flagship segment to the mid-range segment.
The first wave began with Samsung leaks, then came in the HTC handsets and now it looks like it finally Sony’s time to shine in the spotlight. We’ve just reported leaked photos of the Sirius sometime back and now there is another photo leaked online showing what is rumoured to be the Xperia G.
The Xperia G as per the tweet from @ViziLeaks, is supposed to bring out design cues from the flagship series like the Z1 and the Z down to the mid-series. From the image the device seems almost like the recently announced Xperia Z1 Compact which is pretty-much high end (in terms of specs) if you ask us.
We wonder if Sony will move to plastics to bring down costs for the Xperia G. Or are they simply going to create a new segment according to the tweet, which merges premium build quality with mediocre hardware specs.
Photographed while being placed below the Xperia Z1 Compact, we can see few differences between the two for now. Let’s just hope that the specs keep up. If you do remember well, @ViziLeaks was also the one to leak out the first images of the Nokia Lumia 1020; so we expect this one to be authentic as well.
