Sony Xperia T, TX, V, And SP Get Sweeter With Jelly Bean Update
Software update brings some visual and performance tweaks to these handsets.
Its official! Sony seems to be spreading the love in time for Valentine’s Day by sharing some long-awaited news with its Xperia users. All the Project Butter goodness of Jelly Bean 4.3 is heading straight to your Xperia T, TX, V, and SP.
As with every android device, there will always be bugs, especially on newly launched handsets. Sony with its new strategy of keeping all its droids updated (and customers happy) is back once again; delivering Jelly Bean 4.3 to some newer Xperia devices.
The lucky bunch this time around are Xperia T, Xperia TX, Xperia V and Xperia SP users. Who will apart from Project Butter see a number of performance and visual updates to the apps and the device features as a whole.
Some of the tweaks are as follows:
- Project Butter performance & UI response optimisation and a smoother graphical experience
- Sony’s entire native app portfolio gets a big update – Messaging, Smart Connect, Small apps, TrackID, Sony Select and Xperia Business (Android security enhancements)
- Sony’s Media apps portfolio including WALKMAN, Album and Movies, with Sony Entertainment Network cloud service integration will see a more converged and full Sony entertainment experience
- There is also the launch of a unique custom interface experience called “Xperia Themes”, with downloadable UI packs from Sony Select
- Battery STAMINA Mode has now been updated and now comes with a refreshed interface and more smart options for prolonging battery life for your Xperia device.
- As usual the updates will be seeded out region-wise so you may have to wait a bit till you get a notification either OTA or via the PC Companion.
