Thanks To Google+ Integration, Your Android Phone Now Understands Relations

It is now possible to call your friends and family based on what they are to you rather than your contacts list.

After re-inventing the contacts app by turning it into a live telephone directory, Google will now allow you to call your relative based on who they are and not according to the contact data on your device.

It’s the newest addition to Google’s already long list of services that add value to existing services in exchange for your personal information. So if your father (John Doe) is added to your family circle as your father, Google Search will automatically know that John Doe is your father because of the Google+ integration. Speaking “call dad” will then automatically call John Doe for you. In a way it pays to have a complete profile on Google+ then.

The whole idea according to Google is that you can just speak out to Google Now rather than scrolling through a contacts list to make a call. How do you consider this new feature? A bright idea or borderline creepy? Let us know in the comments section below.
