The handset is expected to be announced at Mobile World Congress later this month.
After the processor rush, phone companies are now trying to up the ante in the camera department. If the leaked screenshots from the XDA forums are to be believed, Sony's upcoming smartphone codenamed Sirius will pack in 4K recording capabilities. Another screenshot suggests that the phone will sport a 20.7 megapixel camera.
On the specifications front, the Sirius will probably come with a 5.2-inch Triluminos display. The Japanese company is expected to overhaul its user interface. The phone will pack in the Snapdragon 800 chipset, 3 GB RAM, and 16 GB of internal storage. Since the Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra are based on the same SoC, there's a possibility that the 4K recording feature might be come to the current gen high-end phones via a software update.
The Xperia Sirius is expected go official at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014 later this month. It will be interesting to see what Sony's next big thing brings to the tablet, apart from the fancy camera features.
