Flappy Birds Shot Down By Its Creator
The game developer says the popularity of the game ruined his simple life.
Calling it addictive and pointless altogether would be the ideal way to describe the Indie-hit Flappy Birds. Not pointless for the game developer Dong Nguyen who has been taking to twitter, blurting out everything that comes to his insanely creative mind.
It was just yesterday that Dong Nguyen announced that he would be pulling off Flappy Birds from both stores (iOS and Android)… and he did (man of his word!).
If $50,000 a day in ad revenue was not reason enough for this developer to keep the game running, we have no clue what will. The developer did comment that the app was success for him but that it also ruined his simple life (it's quite difficult to understand these Vietnamese people). We suspect that Nintendo might have sued borrowing a few things from Mario's world.
What’s interesting to note though, was that he said he would continue making games. Meaning that in a few months from now, we could expect another Indie-hit our way! On a related note, my colleague has earned a medal in Flappy Birds by hitting the score of 12.
