Leaked Screenshots Reveal Windows Phone 8.1 'Notification Center'

It features quick settings and toast notifications.

Notification center has been one of the most requested feature in Windows Phone platform. Now it seems Microsoft has taken the user feedback seriously and is ready to deliver this functionality in the next software update. A Spanish website Winphollowers.com claims to have acquired Microsoft's PowerPoint presentation meant for the company insiders. Going by the screenshots, Microsoft's version of notification center will be called the 'Action Center'. Similar to the BB 10 OS, a short swipe from top will reveal quick shortcuts for connectivity options including WI-Fi, Bluetooth, and Car mode. If you swipe all the way down, you'll get the full-fledged 'Action Center' that displays notifications in a stacked manner.

The slide also reads that certain apps can "intelligently" manage notifications. Currently, we don't know what exactly does that mean. This new feature is a part of the Windows Phone 8.1 update (codenamed Blue), expected to go official in April at Microsoft's BUILD developer conference.
