Nokia USA Offers Free Lumia In Exchange Of Your Android Or iPhone
The catch includes a two year contract on the Lumia 1020 and 1520.
In an effort to push Windows Phone sales in the US, Microsoft has started trade-in offers at all Microsoft Stores in the United States. They are actually offering the best that Windows Phone has on offer in exchange for older iOS and Android handsets.
The phones that can be offered up for exchange include the iPhone 4, 4s and the Galaxy S2. From what we can see, they seem to be targeting are older iOS and Android users. Those who have held back on purchasing or upgrading to the newest droids or iPhones available for various reasons. One reason would be because they are on the fence and are thinking of switching sides to another OS. The second one would be for the simple fact that they are too comfortable with their existing handsets and simply do not feel the need to upgrade to something more powerful.
Both handsets on offer, are far more advanced in terms of hardware when it comes to the processors and the camera modules. They even offer superior optical image stabilisation which make for quite capable shooters for the avid photographer.
All that’s required to switch sides is the need to purchase an eligible Nokia Lumia (1020 or 1520) with a qualifying or a renewable mobile contract or upgrade (2 years) at the same time. Your existing device must also be in a good working condition devoid of cracks and missing components (including chargers).
If such offer hits the Indian market, would you exchange your Android or iOS handset for a Lumia, now that the Windows Phone Store seems to have matured a bit? Tell us in the comments below.
