Tweet To Become A Lakhpati
The more the followers, the more you earn.
Most people tweet for fun, while others use this service to stay abreast with the latest happenings around the world. However, there are some who tweet for a living. A report has brought to light a new and growing trend of professional tweeters, who earn a fortune, well, by posting on Twitter.
Many brands rely on professional tweeters to make their presence known in the social media and increase sales. These professional tweeters are individuals who have a sizeable fan following and have been around Twitter long enough to have posted thousands of tweets. One such professional tweeter is 31 years old Hrish Thota, who has 32,000 tweets and 4000 followers to his credit, making him a hot candidate for brands such as Nano (Tata Motors), Figo (Ford), Kurkure (PepsiCo), and Royal Challenge (United Spirits). This field is so lucrative that Thota left his job at Capgemini to work as a full time profession tweeter.
The system works like a pyramid in which the profession tweeter is at the top, while the followers and their followers and so on can literally increase the reach of the original tweeter to millions. Becoming a professional tweeter does not mean that you sit at home and earn the cash. As Thota stated, he regularly meets up with brand executives who have contracted him, tweets about product launches before attending them, and the tweets are done in a way as to entice the followers to actively interact with him to know more about the product and provide feedback. Care has also to be taken to be not too aggressive, as this tends to make people to "unfollow" you. Also, you are required to remain discreet about the fact that this is your profession because people tend to be sceptical about your tweets when they find out.
According to Thota, you can expect to earn around Rs 30,000 a month by working part time, while working full time can get him about a lakh. There is no doubt that this is a lucrative opportunity, especially for individuals who are unemployed, but have a talent to become popular on Twitter.
