One of the most action-packed beat-em-up game, Double Dragon from the 8-bit glory days has made it to smartphones. Seriously, in the 80's and early 90's, who would have thought that game cartridges will turn into apps? Moving on, one thing worth mentioning here is that the developer DotEmu has done a great job with porting. A nice touch here is that the game comes with the original 8-bit sound, which is guaranteed to make you nostalgic. For PlayStation generation, there's an option to select the remastered sound. The controls are obviously optimised for touchscreens, and it also supports wireless gamepads. There are three difficulty levels. First up is Original, then there's Mobile (specially balanced for mobile gamers), and finally Expert.

The app includes all three instalments of the arcade series: Double Dragon, Double Dragon 2: The Revenge, and Double Dragon 3: The Rosetta Stone. For those who haven't played this classic (what a shame!). The first one begins with Billy and his brother Jimmy, two martial arts experts, on a mission to rescue Billy's girlfriend, Marian, who’s been kidnapped by the Black Shadows Gang. And yes, there's Co-op mode via bluetooth. The game is priced at Rs 227, and is available on Android and iOS platform.
