"I'm Not Allowed An iPhone For Security Reasons" — Barack Obama

VVIPs need high-level security.

 

BlackBerry, that virtually invented the idea of on-the-go email, recently has been struggling making ends meet, as users opt for other platforms such as Android and iOS. However, there is one ardent supporter of BlackBerry - US President Barack Obama. Or is BarackBerry Obama.

He apparently fought hard to keep his personal phone, Blackberry Bold 9900 or 9930 after coming into the White House in 2009. Interestingly, Obama claims that only 10 people have his personal email address. "Neither George W. Bush nor Bill Clinton used email during their presidencies", as reported by Reuters.

Is iPhone insecure?
This is not the same situation as "My phone is more secure than yours", it actually goes much deeper for a person in Obama's position. Apparently, VIPs need much high security, and therefore this means "allowing the National Security Agency (NSA) direct access to servers containing customer data, according to revelations by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden". The companies, of course, deny the allegation. It is unclear whether Apple devices had been allowed in the past or aren't being allowed anymore, though the US president does use an iPad for personal use.

Doesn't this make you happy to be an ordinary citizen who takes his freedom for granted to select any phone or device without the interference and security that goes in for VIPs?
