[Update] iPad Air And mini To Land In India On 7th Dec
Both will be 16 GB Wi-Fi only models.
After a long wait, the latest iterations of Apple's tablet offering — the iPad Air and the iPad mini 2 will soon make it to Indian shores.
Both tablets will be available in Wi-Fi only 16 GB variants starting 7th December. While the iPad Air with a 9.7" retina display in silver or space grey can be yours for an MRP of Rs 35,900; the new 7.9" iPad mini (also with a retina display) will set you back by Rs 28,900 (MRP).
Apple announced the iPad Air in the end of October in the US. Check out all about the slate here. The iPad mini 2 followed a couple of weeks later, and you can find out all about it here.
Price cuts and Schemes?
Apple hasn’t talked about any price cuts yet, though you can expect it soon for the older iPad mini model which should come under Rs 20,000. And since everyone and their bai aspires an Apple product, expect schemes such as cash-back, EMI and buybacks soon after the release, hopefully Apple doesn’t come up with hare-brained schemes like that of iPhone 5C just to boost sales.
Whatever be the case, feel the urge of the dark side and the lightness of your wallets soon! Oh and in case you are looking for more Apple products to hoard, check out our article on the main differences between iPhone 5, the 5S and the 5C.
