An augment reality app, which is better that the show itself.

 

One of the most popular Indian epic stories, the Mahabharata is considered the longest Sanskrit epic of the world. It tells the story of the Kuru clan, and the fight between dynasties to claim throne of Hastinapura. While the show based on the saga, running currently on television, may not have charmed everyone with its story telling finesse or poor CG; but its makers surely know how to get people interested.

They have just put up a new augmented reality app for iOS and Android devices, which let's you "strike a pose with your favourite Mahabharat weapons and jewellery". Also, it lets you understand and decode the story with a "self-updating family tree" that explains the complex relationships as depicted in the epic. Interestingly the characters are unlocked based on their appearance on the show.

Apart from quizzes, videos, shlokas, and image galleries, you get to download music from the show too. I for one am not a fan of the show, but the story sure is intriguing. Try giving it a whirl, and let us know if it's worth your time in the comments below.
