An eco-friendly and geeky way to celebrate Ganesh Chathurthi, from the comfort of your Android device.
As the country gears up to celebrate the first Ganesh Chathurthi after the holy month of Shravan, it may add to the pollution, if you decide to get a non-eco-friendly idol in your household. That's where your Android device can help you better. The Vakratunda app is an augmented reality, which uses a printed marker to generate virtual 3D idol of the Lord Ganesha within the device.
You can download 2D image marker here. The app lets you take images of the idol and share it on Facebook. While it lets you celebrate festivities in an eco-friendly way, a few hymns would’ve been a welcome addition. For now though, you can check out the video of the working of the app.
