Google Drive iOS App Gets A Much-Needed Upgrade
Let's you share document links, and organise your Drive on your iDevice better.
Bringing the Google Drive experience closer to what the Android users get, the iOS app has received a major facelift. With the new update, you can not just browse for files more conveniently, but you can also preview files before opening them. The app offers a "card-style thumbnail layout", and intuitive grouping of files and folders that can be viewed and edited in the landscape mode as well.
You can also copy links for files on your Drive through the app via the details pane of the file. Just select the 'Get link' option, and the path is copied on to your device's clipboard. This details pane also lets one move files across folders, or even share them with other users. The app comes with better in-app search feature that "recognises objects in your images and text in scanned documents", so expected more refined search results. The update is now available on the iTunes store.
