Rumour: LG G Pad With 8" Display To Launch At IFA 2013
Sports 2 GB RAM; pricing unknown.
LG will officially announce an 8.3" tablet at the upcoming IFA 2013 trade show in Berlin this year. According to a report published in Techblog, LG's G Pad will ship with an 8.3" inch display sporting a screen size of 1920x1200 pixels and a quad-core processor. It is also expected to come preloaded with the recently released Android 4.3 operating system, in addition to 2 GB RAM. Once officially confirmed, these specs are decent enough to afford a compelling mobile gaming experience. Techblog adds that the G Pad will employ lightweight materials and is designed to be thinner as well. Other technical aspects such as the amount of internal storage and support for telephony isn't known as of now.
Meanwhile, LG has also recently unveiled the first ever device under the G series, the G2 smartphone. The South Korean manufacturer had also recently sought to trademark the brand new tablets, smartphones, and even a smartwatch. Once official, the LG G Pad could give the "large-screen" portable devices such as Huawei Ascend Mate (6.1" screen) and the yet to be released ASUS MeMo Pad HD 8 (8" display) a run for their money.
