Google Translate Android App Now Supports Hindi
Update also offers support for Hindi and Thai handwriting.
Looks like Google did more than just a doodle coloured in hues of the Indian flag this Independence Day. It also updated the Google Translate app for Android with support from Hindi handwriting. Available for handsets running Android 2.3 and above, the app will also offer support for handwritten Thai, alongside Camera input for Afrikaans, Greek, Hebrew, and Serbian.
The app officially supports well over 70 languages, and you can translate text not only to English, but also in Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and even Urdu, including other international languages. Since you can listen to pronunciations as well, this is quite a handy app to have if you tend to travel extensively, even within India. The app is available on the Google Play store and you can download it here.
