Rumour: Amazon To Come Out With An Exclusive Gaming Device

Popular for its Kindle Fire tablets, Amazon is now all set to enter the gaming segment with an exclusive Android-based gaming console, which is rumoured to hit stores later this year. A Game Informer report states that Amazon's gaming console will let you play titles currently available in its stores. Amazon's dedicated gaming console is also expected to come with its own controller, and also offer a free application, like it did during the launch of Amazon.in. The other features are not available as of now, but its will come with a dedicated controller. According to a report published in Venturebeat, Amazon has started hiring game developers to test various game nuances.

Amazon developing a game console also takes wings from the fact that the company is known to maintain a high degree of secrecy while developing each of its individual products. Similar to the gaming console, Amazon is also said to be thinking about an Android-based smartphone, and is also slated to release next-gen Kindle Fire variants soon.
