Lenovo Launches Tablets For Those Who Do
We are solely referring to tablets based on Android and Windows 8 that they just launched in India.
"For Those Who Do” and like to “Do Anywhere”, Lenovo launches tools to enable just that. The new line-up includes 3 Android tablets and 2 Windows 8 Tablets to fit all budgets.
“For Those Who Like To Do-little”, Lenovo has the small 7 incher A1000 which has voice calling (specifically designed for the Indian consumer) with an innovative design of front facing speakers with Dolby Digital Plus in it. The beginner tab isn’t tacky like cheap Chinese knock offs, and has a thoughtful heat sink layer of carbon-copper in the plastic lid to prevent it from over-heating. The screen has extreme colour shifting when titled, comes with only 2G (and Wi-Fi) and will get no further updates than Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, all for a price of Rs 9000.

For those wishing to “Do More” with better specs, Lenovo has A3000 (7 inch) and S6000 (10 inch) priced at Rs 16000 and Rs 27,000 respectively. These come with Quad-core 1.2 GHz processors, 1GB RAM, better IPS screens, and with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The S6000 has a Micro-HDMI port, while all the 3 android tablets support USB pendrives through their Micro-USB port.
Those in love with Windows 8 touch-friendly ‘Tiled’ interface should be happy with the premium ThinkPad Tablet 2 or the IdeaPad Lynx K3011 priced around Rs 50,000. The main differences here being screen size, the hardware that powers it, and Windows flavours used in it. The 10 inch (720p) ThinkPad Tablet 2 has a full blown Windows 8 desktop OS coupled with Intel Atom processor and 2GB Ram; while IdeaPad Lynx K3011 is an 11.1 inch HD tablet with Windows 8 RT Tablet OS slapped with Intel Clover Trail and 2GB RAM. Which is better suited for you, typically depends on your usage. Either ways, both premium devices are well equipped for road warriors.
