Kaspersky Anti-Virus & Kaspersky Internet Security 2014 Edition Unveiled
Packs in a Trusted Applications Mode to launch software classified as "safe to use".
Kaspersky Lab has launched its new anti virus-cum-internet security package, the Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2014 & Kaspersky Internet Security 2014. The new package includes Kaspersky's ZETA Shield Antivirus technology that is said to ensure protection from latest malware attacks. Kaspersky Lab states in an official press release that both its latest security products are custom-made to safeguard users' personal data and critical financial transactions. Kaspersky Internet Security and Antivirus 2014 also features virus-detection mechanisms such as Safe Money technology, Automatic Exploit Prevention, Anti-blocker technology, and Trusted Application Mode.
The ZETA Shield anti virus technology, offers in-depth scan of files and applications, to filter out threats such as Malware and Trojan that transmit to hackers. There is also the "Automatic Exploit Prevention" technique that scans users' computer for certain types of "exploits". Exploits are malware that masquerades as a legitimate software program.
Kaspersky states that the Automatic Exploit Prevention will monitor end-user programs such as Java and Adobe Reader that are said to foster exploits. The exploit prevention technique is also claimed to detect and filter out recent threats including new ones. Another major aspect in Kaspersky Internet Security 2014 is the Trusted Applications mode which protects the computer by only allowing the launch of applications that are identified as safe to use. The pricing of Kaspersky's new 2014 edition anti-virus software is not official yet.
