WhatsApp Goes Free On iTunes
Adopts the Android-style subscription model for iDevices as well.
Those iOS users who had been shying away from buying Whatsapp for their iDevice can now rejoice. The app just went free on the iTunes store, just like it has been on Google Play Store. That being said, the app has been made available on a subscription basis, just like android devices — you can use it free of cost for a year, after which you need to pay up Rs 55 yearly. If you don't already have the app up and running on your iDevice, you can get it here.
Considering how it has been a paid app since the very beginning on iTunes, you can expect it to stop working on you iDevice after the D-Day, but you still have a year to figure out. Or the developers may just forget about that like they did for Android users.
