Karbonn Launches Low-Cost Handset, Smart A27+ For Rs 9000

The device comes with a 5" display, Android 4.1, 1 GHz dual-core processor, and supports 3G.

 

After Karbonn Mobiles launched the Titanium S9 priced at around Rs 20K, and sporting a 5.5" display, the company has now released a low-cost smartphone called the Smart A27+, with a price tag of Rs 9000. This device has a 5" display, runs Android 4.1, and is driven by a 1 GHz dual-core processor.

Karbonn's latest Smart A27+ has the following key technical details:

  • 5" qHD display, with a pixel density of 540x960.
  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.
  • 1 GHz dual-core processor.
  • Dual-SIM support (WCDMA+GSM).
  • 8 MP primary camera, and a front VGA camera.
  • 512 MB RAM.
  • 4 GB internal storage.
  • G-sensor.
  • MicroSD card slot with support of up to 32 GB.
  • 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and microUSB connectivity.
  • 2000 mAh battery with claimed talk time of 5 hours.

This smartphone is just an extension of Karbonn's earlier A27 Retina (price Rs 8600) that has a smaller display (4.3"), and similar technical specifications (Android 4.1, dual-SIM support, 512 MB RAM, 4 GB of internal storage, and 3G), but packs in a 2 MP secondary camera that is better in comparison to the VGA camera in the Smart A27+. Both Karbonn's A27 Retina and Smart A27+, are now available to buy online.
