Foursquare Now Available For Nokia Series 40 Handsets
Now tell the world where you are, from the comfort of your feature phone.
Popular social networking app Foursquare is now available for Nokia's Series 40 handsets. On its official blog, the service suggests that the app will also work on all of the new Nokia Asha devices. Moreover, the new line up of Asha devices will also come preloaded with the app when they hit markets later this year. For the uninitiated, Foursquare is a location-based social networking service, predominantly for smarphone users. Users "check in" and each check-in awards the user points and badges. Location is determined by the GPS hardware in the mobile device or network location provided by the application. To download the app, head here.
Also, if the people you want to avoid own feature phones, do teach them how to install and use the app. Once you know where they are, you can use the Hell Is Other People service to avoid bumping into them.
