Rumour: Microsoft Bringing Xbox, PC Games To Android, iOS
Age of Empires is slated to land on Android and iOS by the end of 2013.
A report published in Reuters states that users of Android and iOS smartphones can soon check out Xbox and other computer games restricted to the Windows OS, by the end of 2013. The report also says that the popular Microsoft gane "Age of Empires" will be available as a free game to both the platforms, by the end of the year. Earlier, Microsoft, had rolled back the Xbox One DRM Policy that required users to connect to the internet at least once in 24 hours, and had even placed restrictions on used game sharing.
To enable cross-platform gaming, Microsoft will tie-up with KLab, a Japan-based game developing firm. Microsoft's Xbox Live is slated to come to India somewhere in late 2014, which means that the Xbox 360 will continue to grace India gadget stores for more than one year. However, once released, the Xbox One could face competition from Sony's next-gen PlayStation 4 that is expected to be priced around Rs 30,000 in India.
