Gaana.com Unveils Online Karaoke Service
Score points as you sing along, feature is limited to the website for now.
Gaana.com has launched a new service dubbed as SingAlong that lets do just that. While it is limited just to the website, the selection of songs isn't too exhaustive either (the press release says 300+ songs in 5 languages). To use the service, hit the SingAlong tab listed on the right panel of the website and look for your favourite song. Connect your microphone (and headset, if available) to your PC, and hit the start singing button. Select the required options as listed on the screen, clear your throat and you're good to go.
Like any other karaoke program, you will get scores based on how much you keep up with the lyrics (not how well you sing though). You can then challenge your friends via Facebook and turn this into a game. Gaana.com also has apps for mobile platforms including Android, iOS, BlackBerry, and Java.
