Windows Phone comes with IE 10 and the browser is certainly one of the better mobile browsers on the platform. However, there are a few shortcomings, which Microsoft has not bothered to address, even though the Windows Phone OS can easily handle them. Surfy Free is a free internet browser, which aims to do just that. The tabbed browser allows you to lock the orientation of web page so you can read them while lying in the bed. It even uses WP's text-to-speech engine to read out web pages to you, in case you are too lazy.

The browser also offers a private browsing mode and you can play Atari HTML5 games in full screen. The paid version gives you a few additional features. You can pause speech and resume it, enable mobile optimisation to save data usage and money, and even use more than three tabs at a time.
