Samsung GALAXY S4 Storage Enhancement Update Seeding In India
The update is also expected to bring new camera features.
Samsung's flagship, the GALAXY S4 drew a a bit of flak for offering lesser internal storage than advertised. However, the Korean giant has decided to undo the mistake with a stock ROM (Android 4.2.2) update, with an option of porting apps to the SD card. This update has started seeding in India as per a report on Sammy Hub.
Samsung GALAXY S4 (model: GT-I9500) owners can get the update via Samsung Kies PC suite, or as an OTA (Over-The-Air) firmware update. This update (I9500XXUBMEA) works for handsets with the Exynos 5 Octa-Core variant of the GALAXY S4. The 16 GB variant of the Samsung GALAXY S4 should notice around 500 MB increase in internal storage after porting of apps to the SD card.
In addition to this, the stock ROM update is also expected to bring enhancements in the camera firmware — the HDR video recording feature is also on the cards, along with a new near-transparent status bar.
