Rumour: BBM Will Come To Android, iOS Platforms On 27th June
Announcement had been made at the BlackBerry Live 2013; BB hasn't confirmed Twitter reports yet.
The BlackBerry Messenger has been one of the main reasons for users to stick to BlackBerry handsets. However, BB surprised the world at the BlackBerry Live 2013 event, where they decided to bring the messaging service to Android and iOS platforms for free. Now, an unofficial BB account that goes by the name Blackberry Worldwide has tweeted that the app will make its way into the iTunes Store and Google Play as early as 27th June. While BB is silent about the news, its official blog states that the first version of the app will offer features such as real-time BBM chat messages, Multi-person chats, Voice note sharing, and BlackBerry Groups that supports up to 30 users.

With the latest BB10 handset — the Q10 all set to launch soon in India, many BB loyalists will soon be out of the company's shackles. That being said, with the exclusivity of the service taken out, the company may find it difficult get its handsets flying off shelves.
