Lemon's New Quad Core Smartphones To Be Released
The Lemon Aspire HD and Lemon Aspire Full HD run the Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean platform.
Indian mobile-phone brand Lemon Mobiles is set to launch two HD smartphones called Aspire HD and Aspire Full HD, displayed on its official product page. Lemon's Aspire HD and Aspire Full HD come with quad-core processors, and have a 5-inch and 5.3 inch display respectively. When officially launched, Lemon's devices will enter the already overcrowded Indian smartphone market, which is also home to brands such as Celkon, iBall, Karbonn, Micromax and Spice, all of which have their own HD smartphones that are low-cost, and provide an alternative to the high-priced big brands.
The tech specs of the two Lemon smartphones are:
- 5" IPS display having 1280x720 pixels
- Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system
- 1.2 GHz quad-core processor
- 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage
- MicroSD card slot for expansion up to 32GB
- 8MP Autofocus primary camera and 2MP secondary camera
- Dual-SIM support
- Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity
- Facebook, Google Play store apps built-in
- 2000 mAh battery with claimed talk time of up to 10 hrs
- 5.3" display, 1920x1080 pixel resolution
- Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean operating system
- 1.2 GHz quad-core processor
- 1GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage
- MicroSD card slot for expansion up to 64 GB
- 13 MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera
- Dual-SIM support
- Bluetooth 4.0, 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity
- Google Play Store app built-in, along with pre-loaded games
- 1820 mAh battery with claimed talk time of up to 9 hrs
In a real-world scenario, the 1GB of RAM in both these devices can be good to run high-end games. The 5MP front camera listed for the Aspire Full HD seems improbable, as such a hardware spec isn't seen even on the most premium of phones, so it may just be interpolated/upscaled using software instead.
Official pricing of Lemon's Aspire HD and Aspire Full HD isn't available yet, but the tech-specs convey an expectation that the Aspire HD may be priced around Rs 15K, and the Aspire Full HD may be a Rs 20K smartphone. If either of these devices are priced close to 10K, then they could compete with the Micromax Canvas HD A116 and Xolo Q700. But as of now, Lemon's new offerings are just... lemons, what did you expect?
