Samsung has officially launched a new low-cost smartphone in the popular GALAXY series, the GALAXY Fame, and has put up the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform running device for sale on its Samsung India e-store, for a price of Rs 11,120. The smartphone can also be purchased from e-commerce sites such as Flipkart, that is selling the device for Rs 10,900. The Galaxy Fame comes with a 3.5 inch display, and runs Android 4.1 on a 1GHz dual-core processor.

The Galaxy Fame is expensive in relative terms, as spending a grand more would get you a quad-core Karbonn Titanium S1 that comes with with a largerger display, and fairly good technical specifications.
