10 Million Units Of Samsung GALAXY S4 Sold In The First Month
Four more colour variants to be added this summer.
Samsung has announced today that the global sales of GALAXY S4 has surpassed 10 million units in less than a month. Samsung GALAXY S4 was launched on 27th April 2013 and was initially made available in 60 countries. GALAXY S4 is currently available in 110 countries and is expected to be selling at the rate of four units a second. Eventually the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be available in 155 countries with the support of 327 partners worldwide.
In contrast, the initial Samsung GALAXY S reached 10 million units in seven months, whereas the GALAXY S II reached the mark in five months and 10 million units of GALAXY S III was sold in 50 days since its launch in 2012. The Samsung GALAXY S4 has created a record for the Korean manufacturer by reaching the milestone in less than a month.
Samsung has also planned to add more colour variants to the existing line-up of White Mist and Black Forest. The new colours, Blue Arctic, Red Aurora, Purple Mirage and Brown Autumn, will be available by this summer.
