Apple iOS 6.1.4 For iPhone 5 Released

Tailor-made for iPhone 5, the OS update is available via Apple iTunes as well.

 

After facing flak for its iOS 6.1.3 update, which allowed unauthorised access to iDevices, Apple is now seeding version iOS 6.1.4. Although it is not not clear as of now if the older issues have been addressed with the new patch, the latest release is only available for the iPhone 5. The 11.5 MB file can be downloaded OTA (Over-the-Air) or via iTunes.

iOS 6.1.4 brings with it an updated audio profile for the iPhone 5's speakerphone, and nothing else. A security patch would have been a welcome addition. However, considering that this update is meant only for iPhone 5 users, we're guessing Apple is saving the bigger fixes for of all its iDevices with a future update.
