Google Drive For iOS Updated To v1.3.0
Offers tweaks for more functionality on the Apple iPhone 5.
Internet giant Google has now updated its Drive app for Apple's iOS, so that users can now edit spreadsheets and documents in landscape mode on the iPhone. The Landscape editing feature was available only to iPad users previously. Google Drive now loads faster, allows for quicker editing and incorporates bug fixes, besides stability and performance improvements.
With the allowing of landscape style editing, Google Drive for iOS is now on par with the Google Drive Android app, which allows for creating presentations. To use the iOS app, users will need an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch running iOS 5 or higher. The new Google Drive update is of maximal use on an iPhone 5. Google Drive for iOS is also currently offering 5GB of free storage for users to store documents, pictures, or other files in the cloud.
The new version (1.3.0) of Google's iOS app is available for free download through Apple's iTunes store, in the form of a 28.2 MB file.
