Micromax Canvas Viva A72 seems to be a budget priced 5-inch smartphone by the Indian brand. Though not listed on their own website, it has been listed on e-commerce portal Flipkart for a price of Rs 6,999. Running on the (now outdated) Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread platform, the Micromax Canvas Viva A72 is very much an entry-level 5-inch smartphone, like the Swipe Fablet F2 (another budget 5-inch smartphone priced at Rs 6700).

A Micromax media representative told us that the smartphone is available for purchase in physical retail stores at a price of Rs 6,499. As per the mail we received, key specs of the Micromax Canvas A72 are:

From the tech-specs, it is clear that the USP of Canvas A72 is its 5-inch screen. Similarly priced competitors are the Swipe Fablet F2 having a 5-inch display at Rs 6700 (online retail price); and Zen UltraPhone U5 with a 5.2-inch screen at Rs 7,000 (online retail price).
