Google Redesigns Mobile Web Apps And Gmail Offline
The update is available to users of Android, iOS and Blackberry platforms, but not on Windows Phone.
The Gmail mobile web app and Gmail offline for Android, Blackberry, iOS and Kindle Fire have now been given a new design by Google. The design looks similar to the redesigned Gmail app that Google released last December for Apple iPhone and iPad.
The revamped Gmail mobile app incorporates enhancements such as better search tool, Google calendar integration and autocomplete predictions. Google says in a G+ post that users of its iPhone and iPad Gmail app preferred the redesigned user interface, resulting in the new UI in Gmail offline and Gmail mobile web application for other platforms.
Revamped Gmail mobile site
The update to Gmail offline and mobile web apps has started rolling out - Blackberry, iOS and Android users can catch the same on their respective devices.
However, these new enhancements are not supported in the Microsoft Windows Phone platform. This may be due to Google's rivalry with Microsoft.
