Chrome 25 incorporates auto pause and background audio playback support.

 

After the desktop release of Chrome 25 with voice recognition to issue voice commands, for Windows, Mac and Linux, the Android version of the browser has been updated as well. The browser app is available for download on Google Play Store, and offers the following enhancements over the previous version:

  • Faster interactive pages with the latest version of V8 Javascript engine.
  • Improved scrolling performance.
  • Expanded support for HTML5 features.
  • Stability and performance fixes along with minor UI adjustments.


Apart from these, there is support for Background Audio playback, which means that audio files of users can be played with Chrome 25 running in the foreground, along with auto-audio pausing feature when the user's Android phone is in use at that point in time.
