Acer Liquid E1 and Z2 Will Be Showcased At MWC 2013

Both phones will run Android 4.1 out of the box and have a dual-SIM variant.

 

Acer will put up two of its smartphones of the year at the Mobile World Congress: the Liquid E1 and Z2. The handsets will be available in pearl white and carbon black variants. Both phones will be available in dual-SIM versions, will run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS out of the box and come pre-installed with AcerCloud that enables multimedia and data sharing.

The Liquid E1 packs in a 4.5" IPS screen with pixel dimensions of 540x960, 1 GHz dual-core chipset, 1 GB RAM, 4 GB of internal storage, a 5 Megapixel camera with LED flash, and a 1760 mAh.

The Acer Liquid Z2 on the other hand, comes with a 3.5" HVGA screen with 320x480 pixels, 1 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM, and a 1300 mAh battery. This phone has variants with cameras of 3 MP and 5 MP.

Both smartphones will be launched first in in France, Belgium, Netherlands and Ukraine followed by Russia, UK and Italy. Whether it will land on Indian shores, only time will tell. While Acer has kept mum about dates and pricing details, Engadet reports that prices for E1 can be anywhere between €199 (Rs 14,400) to €229 (Rs 16,600) range, and the Z2 should cost around €99 (Rs 7200) and €129 (Rs 9400).
