Running on the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system handset boasts of dual cameras, and 1 GHz CPU.
Update: This phone is priced at Rs 11,200 as per a press release we received on February 20th.
Intex has put up a new phablet dubbed as Intex Aqua Style on its website. The Aqua Style's 5.88" display shows how the brand is happily jumping on to the new trend of phablets sporting screens larger than 5". The phablet runs the Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box.
Although the handset is listed with online retailers, its pricing and availability continue to remain a mystery (Flipkart and Infibeam just says "Coming Soon").
The phablet's technical specifications that have been listed on the official website include:
- 5.88" screen with 480x800 pixels.
- Android 4.0.4 Ice-Cream Sandwich operating system.
- 1 GHz Cortex dual-core A9 processor with 512 MB of RAM
- Dual-SIM support.
- 8 mp rear camera with auto focus and flash; 1.3 mp front camera.
- 1 GB inbuilt storage; microSD card that supports up to 32 GB.
- 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi hotspot, GPS with online navigation, orientation sensor.
- 2500 mAh battery with claimed talktime of 3.5 hours and standby time of 100 hours.
If you like the idea of holding up a handset of this size against your ear, then the Karbonn A30 with 5.9" screen is an option you can look at. Priced at Rs 11,500 (street price), A30 has almost identical tech specs as that of the Intex Aqua Style, but for its 4 GB internal storage, of which 2.56 GB is user accessible. How well these two handsets do in the future, only time will tell.
