Acer Launches New Touch Based Laptops Under The Aspire V5 Range
All new models that feature Windows 8 out of the box, and are priced between Rs 34,550 and Rs 47,500.
Acer, a well-known brand for laptops and consumer notebooks, today added 4 new offerings under its Aspire series of laptops. All the four new SKU's are a variant of the Acer Aspire V5 which we reviewed last year. However, the key difference among the older V5 and the newer V5's is the presence of multi-touch screen as the newer ones are equipped with Windows 8.
The four new models feature processors ranging from Pentium Dual Core to Intel Core i5 at varying price points. Also varying among them is the screen size which ranges from 14" to 15.6". The new Aspire V5 touch-screen range is designed slightly different from the one we reviewed earlier. However, it still does retain the chiclet-type keyboard. It has 20 mm thickness and weighs slightly over 2 kg, which Acer claims is 30 percent slimmer and 10 percent lighter than a traditional notebook.
Other features include the usual you have come to expect from notebooks these days, such as an HDMI port, built-in optical drive, USB 3.0 ports, card reader, Ethernet port, Webcam, and Bluetooth.
The Acer Aspire V5 touch enabled notebooks are priced between Rs 34,550 to Rs 47,500. Here are the individual model numbers and their prices.
