Two New Android Smartphones From Samsung - The GALAXY Young And GALAXY Fame
Both the devices feature Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and are aimed at budget price brackets.
Two new smartphones were added today to Samsung extensive line-up of Android devices. The new devices called the GALAXY Young and GALAXY Fame would most likely be budget devices, albeit with design similar to the GALAXY S III.
First up is the GALAXY Young which features the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS running on a 1 GHz processor coupled with 768 MB of RAM. It has a 3.27-inch LCD display with a pixel dimension of 320x480. For storage, it has 4 GB of internal memory with an expandable micro-SD card slot. For imaging, it has a 3 MP rear camera and VGA front camera.
Here are the complete specs for the Samsung GALAXY Young
- Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system
- 1 GHz processor
- 4 GB internal storage; expandable up to 64GB with micro-SD card
- 768 MB RAM
- 3.27-inch display with pixel dimensions of 320x480
- 3 MP rear camera; VGA front camera
- 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS
- Accelerometer, Digital Compass, Proximity sensor
- 1300 mAh Li-ion battery
Next up is the Samsung GALAXY Fame which features similar specs as the GALAXY Young except for a slightly larger screen at 3.5-inches, with pixel dimensions remaining at 320x480. It trades up the 3 MP camera of the Young for a 5 MP shooter, while the RAM is brought down from 768 MB to 512 MB. Other differences include the presence of Glonass navigation and optional NFC support.

Information is not available at the moment on pricing or availability of the two phones, but it would be safe to say both the phones would be priced under the Rs 10,000 price bracket if they do launch in India.
